An award-winning partnership between the NYULMC Parkinson's and Movement Disorders Center and The JCC in Manhattan.

This ground-breaking, community-based partnership was founded in 2007 to help improve the lives of those impacted by Parkinson's through fitness, support, education, and socialization. Our fitness classes, support groups, and events are designed to keep those impacted by Parkinson’s and their families and friends active, connected, and empowered. With a primary focus on dignity, hope, and possibility, this internationally recognized program has grown into a welcoming hub for the Parkinson’s community.

how to register

Eligibility Requirements for Fitness Classes:
The NYU/JCC Parkinson's Wellness Program strives to embrace the individual and their unique abilities. We do our best to provide our fitness class participants with an environment that is safe and challenging, yet physically appropriate. Therefore, each fitness class has been designed to accommodate participants with similar physical ability. We have several fitness classes that are designed for people who are independently mobile and do not require an assistive device to walk. Our yoga class can accommodate those whose physical abilities classes have lessened.
To ensure a quality experience and to best match your physical abilities to the structure of the each class, all participants in Parkinson's Wellness fitness classes are asked to complete an intake interview process prior to registration. A doctor's note is required for participation in all Parkinson's Wellness fitness classes.
