This year tryouts will be held beginning on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 and will conclude on Thursday, September 8, 2011. All swimmers must be competent in all of the four competitive swim strokes; butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle. Swimmers will be evaluated on the basis of technique and speed.

  • 4–5 pm Ages 9–10
  • 5-5:30pm Ages 15–17
• Thursday, September 8, 2011
  • 4–5 pm Ages 11–12
  • 5-5:30pm Ages 13 and over

• Ages 8 and Under
  • 25 meter freestyle — timed
  • 25 meter backstroke — timed
  • 25 meter breaststroke — timed
  • 25 meter butterfly — untimed
• Ages 9–12 — All Timed
  • 50 meter freestyle
  • 50 meter backstroke
  • 50 meter breaststroke
  • 50 meter butterfly
• Ages 13 and Over
  • 100 meter freestyle
  • 100 Individual Medley

Swimmers will be notified via email or phone of their acceptance to the Thunderbirds.

Swim caps are required, goggles recommended. Please arrive 5–10 minutes prior to your try out time.
